The Community Center loves our yearly contribution of dried oatmeal and soup packages — if anyone wants to use this event idea, especially on November 20th, please speak up. I am doing a different project this year as they really want the Holiday stuff earlier than we will do our party (December 18th, save the date!)

* SPCA -- clean up, make toys for animals, bake dog biscuits
* Food drive, stock shelves, organize clothes
* Trail clean-up -- pick up, clear sticks, fallen limbs, etc.
* Visit a senior center -- bring food, enjoy a show, or have a meal
* Care packages to soldiers/vets
* Make dried soup for a food bank.
* Clean up parks
* Holiday decorations for Hospitals
* Shelter projects -- clean up, painting, etc.
* Red Cross Disaster Relief
* Educational posters, materials, etc for American Cancer Society
* Meals on Wheels
* School/Playground clean-ups
* Library outreach, book drive
* Clean up, painting, etc. for any of the local Historical Sites, historical cemetaries, museums.
Favors families are families who are investing in doing real, meaningful, and community minded work. They generally have children between the ages of 4 and 15 years of age and are not afraid to focus on a task, get their hands dirty and enjoy a day together while doing it!
