..kids will stuff bags with modeling clay and mini paint kits colorings art activities…and decorate bags with stickers and have markers to color the bags…
The activity packets will be handed out to the families KMA works with through the First Steps Early Literacy program in Ossining NY. These families will be visiting the museum on 12/17 as a part of their Arte Juntos program …

Serving new-immigrant and ESL families, ArteJuntos is Katonah Museum of Art’s nationally recognized art and family literacy program designed to support the literacy and communication development of young children while promoting parent engagement. With both classroom and Museum sessions the program impacts children’s visual literacy, observation and critical thinking skills, as well as the parent’s understanding of the value of museums as informal learning spaces for their families. To facilitate the program, the KMA partners with early childhood centers and community organizations including Neighbor’s Link in Mt. Kisco, NY and First Steps Early Literacy in Ossining, NY
