Dear FAVORS Families,
We are very excited to host a food drive on Sunday, November 4th at 1 pm at the Mount Kisco Interfaith Food Pantry (300 Main Street, Mount Kisco). That afternoon, FAVORS families will have the opportunity to check expiration dates, sort food, and stock the shelves of the pantry where our community will shop during the holiday season.
Please feel free to bring any non-perishable items you already have at home. (There’s no obligation to bring anything–we’ll have plenty for you to do that day!) If you prefer to shop for specific items, the food pantry is requesting pasta, pasta sauce, and low sodium soup.
When we’ve done this event in the past, it’s moved very quickly. We’ll bring a few books to read to the kids about community food pantries for when we’ve finished stocking the shelves, but to get in on the sorting and shelving action you may want to arrive close to one p.m.
We look forward to seeing you! Please feel free to invite friends, whether or not they are members of FAVORS. The more the merrier!
